Our Back in Motion team is ethnically diverse, and includes multi-lingual professionals from around the world, offering services in: Punjabi, Hindi, Mandarin, Arabic, Cantonese, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Tagalog, Farsi and more. We currently offer Employment Services to clients and employers in 15 communities across Metro Vancouver and up the Sea to Sky Corridor.
Employment Program of BC (WorkBC)
Under Avia Employment Services, Back in Motion supports job seekers in Coquitlam, Langley, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Richmond, Newton, Squamish, and Whistler. We help individuals find stable and meaningful employment, and help employers to meet their recruitment needs. Avia is the second largest employment service provider in BC, and is funded by the provincial government’s WorkBC initiative.
Customized Employment (CE) provides highly individualized placement services to persons with disabilities. The focus is to maximize unique strengths, and reflect the CE philosophy of “Real Work for Real Pay.” Through CE, we offer comprehensive services and support to both the job seeker and employer. CE can be accessed through Avia Employment Services, as well as through several other WorkBC Centres across Metro Vancouver.
Employment Services for Newcomers & Immigrants
Through Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants, Back in Motion provides occupation-specific resources and support to help immigrant job seekers find employment that matches their skills, experience and knowledge.
Employment Services for Youth/Women
Through Women@Work, Back in Motion empowers young women to gain skills and experience to prepare them for meaningful employment. We offer paid training, and also coordinate work experience opportunities with employers in BC’s tourism industry.
Back in Motion has partnered with Manpower in Alberta, to deliver Career Leap. Through this program, we support individuals experiencing difficulty entering the workforce, as well as highly skilled professionals and those transitioning to other industries or occupations. Through employment placement and supports, unpaid work exposure, and direct job matching, we help clients find work as quickly as possible, based on transferable skills.
Back in Motion has partnered with Manpower in Alberta, along with SAIT and U of A, to deliver TECHCareers in Calgary and Edmonton. This innovative technical skills training program prepares individuals with the skills they need to enter the workforce as a Software Developer or Network Specialist. Local employers provide input to SAIT’s tech training curriculum, and also offer work experience opportunities to program participants. With the skills developed during the program, we help clients find work in the growing Alberta tech industry.

Back in Motion helps WorkSafeBC injured workers return to suitable employment and obtain the best possible return to work outcomes, by supporting Workers in their job search and helping them maintain durable employment post-injury.
