Guided by our motivation to transform lives and build vibrant communities, our services address both sides of employment-related challenges: the job seeker’s need for meaningful and sustainable employment, and the labour shortage experienced by BC employers.
Recognized as leaders in customer service and satisfaction, our personable and professional staff have extensive experience supporting individuals with diverse needs to achieve employment. We are proud to serve the entire community, including the unemployed or underemployed, immigrants and refugees, youth, women, persons with disabilities, and the general public.
Our Back in Motion team is ethnically diverse, and includes multi-lingual professionals from around the world, offering services in: Punjabi, Hindi, Mandarin, Arabic, Cantonese, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Tagalog, Farsi and more. We currently offer Employment Services to clients and employers in 15 communities across Metro Vancouver and up the Sea to Sky Corridor.
Employment Services for Skilled Immigrants & Newcomers
Through Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants, Back in Motion provides occupation-specific resources and support to help immigrant job seekers find employment that matches their skills, experience and knowledge.


Employment Services for People with Multiple Barriers to Employment
Back in Motion Skills for Life and Work Program is a 6 week cohort-based program designed to assist individuals with multiple barriers to employment by providing individuals with training in soft skills, essential skills and job readiness skills. Learn more

Transitional Employment
Back in Motion has partnered with Manpower in Alberta, to deliver Career Leap. Through this program, we support individuals experiencing difficulty entering the workforce, as well as highly skilled professionals and those transitioning to other industries or occupations. Through employment placement and supports, unpaid work exposure, and direct job matching, we help clients find work as quickly as possible, based on transferable skills.
Integrated Training
Back in Motion has partnered with Manpower in Alberta, along with SAIT and U of A, to deliver TECHCareers in Calgary and Edmonton. This innovative technical skills training program prepares individuals with the skills they need to enter the workforce as a Software Developer or Network Specialist. Local employers provide input to SAIT’s tech training curriculum, and also offer work experience opportunities to program participants. With the skills developed during the program, we help clients find work in the growing Alberta tech industry.
